ALIWOOD MEDITERRÁNEO PRODUCCIONES
Aliwood produces audiovisual material in various formats that tell stories capable of connecting directly with the audience.
Given the multi-disciplinary background of its founder, Aliwood Mediterráneo Producciones seeks out projects that promote young and fresh talent, while at the same time endowing its productions with that international touch that enables it to pave its way on the overseas market.
Five Square Meters (5 metros cuadrados) was the first feature length film produced by the company, to be followed by A Chinese Take-Away (Un cuento chino) directed by the Argentinean Borensztein and starring Ricardo Darín.
Five Square Meters was the big winner at the Malaga Film Festival (2011), taking away 5 of the main awards. A Chinese Take-Away is also no stranger to awards, walking away as it did with the Goya for the best Latin American film in 2012.
At present, Aliwood is immersed in the production of Manuel Sicilia’s Justin and the Knights of Valour, while at the same time preparing the production of Spree, an international co-production on which shooting is expected to start in 2014.
